A downloadable game in a game for Windows and Linux

Dad (groan) made a game - "for me". (double groan)

So he asked me to playtest it.

I'm doing it, because I'm the nicest.

It's a shooter.

...how creative.

Wait, I forgot to write something:

I love the blend of the three screens: room, shooter and messenger. It works so well with the storytelling while shooting. Overall sweet idea well executed.

Astonishing! I really loved the relationship between me and dad, the meta level, the commentary on loss and patriarchy and so on <3

Long live the proletarian mice and congratulations for this heart-warming piece of art!

Loved this!

It was such a heartwarming game, and I really enjoyed both the narrative side and the FPS side!
The Cheese Cave was strange, but I liked it!
All three stages had fun and charming background textures.
The perspective of looking at the PC screen from behind made me a little motion sick, but I was drawn into the story and played all the way to the end! I had a lot of fun!

Here’s the individual upload of my playthrough stream.

I also received comments during the stream, but I’d like to share this here as well as a way to say thank you again for letting me play your game~ ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ

Thank you so much for the warm words, and the play-through. I enjoyed it very much - I will now sing “Severed heads! Severed heads!” whenever I heard the music!

Sweet game! The writing and premise are both super cool. I'm also glad you got some use out of Codex - these levels look awesome!

One of my favourite parts was probably how the projectiles and hitscans adjust for height (since you can't look up/down) in the style of games like Doom. Very cool feature.

Thank you! We’re glad you liked it. Codex was indeed very useful for creating such Wolfenstein3D-like levels. (One minor gripe was that it was annoying that I had to unfold the Materials group all the time when selecting BlockTiles, which is why I removed the group from the code. ;-) And setting the side materials is not very intuitive, I always had to guess which slot changes which side.)
